It was a game between two sides that have not dropped a single point this season and Spurs were hoping to continue their good form after the win against Manchester United last Monday. The good form from both sides has made the match one of the games of the weekend.
The game started with both sides trying to work out the other team and both seemingly scared to go forward. With both sides finding it difficult to find a way forward in the first half, both sides headed into the half time break without managing to break the deadlock.
It wasn’t until the 53rd minute that the first goal hit the back of the net, and it was Spurs who went ahead when Abdullahi Doucoure put the ball into his own net and the Hornets were behind for the first time this season.
The goal sparked the game into both sides finally started to play without fear. Watford had to fight for the equaliser which came from their Captain, Troy Deeney in the 69th minute to level the score. When many felt they were going to share the spoils, Cathcart gave the Hornets a surprise winner in the 76th minute.
The result means that only Chelsea, Liverpool and Watford now maintain their 100% record heading into the international break.
