Premier League champions, Chelsea left it late to snatch a draw away at Liverpool in a game that promised so much but delivered very little in terms of excitement for the neutrals.
Former Chelsea player, Mohammed Salah had opened the scoring in the 65th minute after capitalizing on a mistake by France international, Tiemoue Bakayoko though tricky Brazilian winger, Willian had the final say by scoring what looked like a fortuitous equalizer 5 minutes from time.
The draw leaves Chelsea third on the league table and also means that The Reds remain 5th, just a place behind the Champions League places. Willian needed just 144 seconds on the pitch to deny Liverpool a win as his attempted cross sailed over the head of Belgium number 2, Simon Mignolet who had misjudged the flight of the ball.

Salah, who used to ply his trade at Stamford Bridge just some years ago continued his fine form in front of goal after registering his 10th strike of what has been a brilliant debut campaign at Anfield scored on the 65th minute but chose not to celebrate in
respect of his former club.
Chelsea manager, Antonio Conte had drafted in former Leicester man, Danny Drinkwater in the middle of the park to add solidity to the pair of Bakayoko and Kante, with the England international replacing Cesc Fabregas who had played the previous game.
Liverpool needed a win to move level with the west London outfit and will be ruing the fact that Chelsea was there for the taking as their manager set them up to play in a defensive way.
Liverpool’s next game is a tough match away at Stoke on Wednesday while Chelsea are at home to Welsh outfit, Swansea on the same day, hoping to consolidate on their 3 rd position.
