1. Samsung Galaxy Tab S6

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 isn’t just one of the best large Android tablets on the market. It’s one of the best Android tablets. Period. One could even argue that it’s the best Android tablet today.

The statement is well worth being a hill to die on as it comes with numerous top-tier features. This includes a display size that’s 10.5 inches that uses AMOLED display technology that boasts an impressive 1600 x 2560 resolution.

Not to mention, the Galaxy Tab S6 also comes packaged with an S Pen stylus. On top of this, a smart keyboard is available for purchase separately. Once installed, the smart keyboard allows the Galaxy Tab S6 to pass for tablet.

Of course, the Galaxy Tab S6 could be better. The two cameras on the rear, while commendable, aren’t exactly worth writing home about. Also, the user interface might take some time getting used to. However, as far as the best large Android tablets go, you’ll find nothing better out there.

2. Microsoft Surface Go

If you’re looking for a tablet that acts more like a laptop than an actual tablet, then the Microsoft Surface Go is for you.

A workhorse of a laptop masquerading as a tablet, the Microsoft Surface Go is the very definition of a daily driver. Sure, it lacks beauty. It’s as plain and as simple as a top-tier tablet can be. However, one cannot deny that the prospect of using a Windows-powered tablet is well worth the price of admission on its own, regardless of how the tablet looks.

With that said, the main selling point of the Microsoft Surface Go is that it uses Windows 10. This means that, what it lacks in style, it more than makes up for in functionality. Of course, to function well, the Microsoft Surface Go’s internal components are up to speed as well, as it comes with 8GB of RAM, 128GB of internal storage, and is powered by the uber-efficient but surprisingly speedy, Intel Pentium Gold.

3. Samsung Galaxy Tab S5e

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 is easily one of the best large Android tablets, but it’s not for everybody. It’s either too expensive or too powerful for someone who’s simply looking for something serviceable for the next three to four years.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S5e, on the other hand, sports the very same gorgeous 10.5-inch AMOLED display as that of the Galaxy Tab S6 but without the premium price tag.

Of course, some concessions had to be made to make the Galaxy Tab S5e more affordable. Case in point, it has a smaller battery, a slower processor, less built-in storage space, and not as much RAM. However, these are welcome compromises when you consider that the drop-off in performance isn’t much relative to the pricepoint.

Touching the Galaxy Tab S5e gives away its less-than-premium feel, but again, who are we to complain?

For the average user, and people who need a competent tablet to use while on the go but have no plans on using the tablet as an alternative daily driver, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S5e is plenty powerful enough.

4. Google Pixel Slate

Many say that Google has given up on creating its own line of tablets. But, we are of the notion that they’ve simply pivoted from the Android platform and are instead focused on using the Chrome OS platform. Case in point, the Google Pixel Slate.

The Google Pixel Slate is available in three different configurations, all of which featuring a huge 12.3-inch screen. This means that you can use it as a huge tablet whenever you want. But, at the same time, if you want to use it as a laptop, you’ll have a screen that’s relatively larger compared to what other tablets can offer.

The only issue is that the keyboard accessory is optional, so you’ll have to purchase it, along with the official Pixel stylus, if you want. What really sets the Google Pixel Slate apart though is the seamless blending of the functionality of both the Chrome OS and Android.

You’re essentially getting the best of both worlds with the Google Pixel Slate.

5. Amazon Fire HD 10

The Amazon Fire HD 10 is as basic as it gets, but it does nearly everything at a basic level perfectly that it’s hard to pass it up.

The Amazon Fire HD 10 might not be one of the flashiest nor fastest Android tablets out there, but it’s easily one of the best large Android tablets for people who need something that they can use on a daily basis.

The 10.1-inch Full HD display houses a 1.8GHz quad-core processor on the inside with 2GB of RAM for multitasking and a battery life that’s 10 hours along.

Also, since this tablet is made by Amazon, it supports Alexa hands-free mode. This means that you won’t really need to touch the tablet anymore for basic use. You can just use your voice, and voila, it does what you want. This makes it the perfect driving companion, or simply those who want something that they can use while their hands are busy doing something else.

Basically, the Amazon Fire HD 10 is as perfect as a basic tablet can be, especially at its price point.

The only caveat here is that you’ll have to give up the Google Play Store.

6. Lenovo Smart Tab P10

The Lenovo Smart Tab P10 isn’t the most innovative tablet out there, regardless of whatever award it wins.

Neither is it the most powerful nor fastest. But, at the same time, it’s also an excellent package that comes with plenty of premium features that make it feel and perform like it should be twice more expensive than it should be.

A good example of this is its 4 front speakers powered by Dolby Atmos technology. It also comes with fingerprint login capabilities that can be separated among different profiles. That’s not all. The p10 also lets you control your smart devices at home via Amazon Alexa when docked.

The P10 may not be necessarily better compared to other similarly-priced tablets, such as the Amazon Fire HD 10, but, at the same time, it might be better suited for people who want a portable and capable media centre.
